Minor Hiatus - Fierce Job Hunting!
Hi everyone! Firstly, I want to say thanks to all of you who read our articles and enjoy the content that we put on this site. I also wanna thank those of you who have joined our Discord server and become part of the growing AnthroBrand community! The weekend events have been a lot of fun to host and I'm really happy to see so many creators coming together to share their craft. But! Time for a personal update and a small hiatus from my regular writing schedule.
I would like to ask everyone to please bear with me while I go through another rough patch in life. It seems that there just isn't any work where I currently live and I am now widening my search across state lines. While I don't really want to move just to find work, I love my home, this year has been really difficult and my savings are beginning to run dry.
With all of that being said, I am focusing all of my efforts on chasing jobs across the country. Over the last few days I have been almost constantly glued to my phone and email responding to various recruiters and talent departments with a couple of different airlines and I am really hoping to have a job where I'm around planes again soon. For the curious, I'm not a pilot, I work in the corporate sector and that's what I'm really gunning for. I'm hoping to have a new job by the end of October, but articles on here will be random between now and then while I get everything sorted.
I know this year has been hard on a lot of people and I am really happy that so many of you out there still have your jobs. After being laid off earlier this year, then again back in August, it's just been one thing after another and that's just how it goes sometimes~ We all make it and I am so thankful for your support. Just by reading my articles and retweeting AnthroBrand posts to your friends, you have given me something to smile about while I do my best to keep it together. These are hard times, but they aren't necessarily bad.
AnthroBrand isn't going away while I am looking for work. The server will remain open to anyone who would like to join and I am still thinking about doing a small run of AnthroBrand merch if anyone might be interested. Just little things like stickers and decals for now. If there is a great interest, I might try my hand at pins since those seem to be super popular. Also I love pins so there's that.
Anyway! If you would like to chat with me, our contributing writers, or just join a nice community of like-minded people, hop into our discord server! It's free, fun, and the link is at the bottom of the page. Also, your opportunity to nominate someone you think deserves more recognition in the Anthro community is still open via our Community Boost project! Take a look at that article for more info and send in your nomination today!
Thanks for reading!
